Let me re-introduce myself.
I am a newcomer, full of hopes and eager to find my place in NYC.
Two months into my new apartment in the Upper West Side, boxes unpacked (or should I say, re-packed into underbed containers due to the lack of space), home office settled, even a few events booked, and I’m no longer tired walking ten blocks - am I officially a New Yorker now?
Our move from Denver was a bit of an adventure! Being an immigrant and coming from a big city that is Moscow, I often felt like an outsider in Denver, despite establishing many professional relationships and building a strong network of corporate event photography clients. I had a desire to experience a deep sense of belonging in a vibrant and diverse cosmopolitan city. Then, as children in our blended family started to leave the nest, the opportunity knocked. My supportive husband went as far as quitting his job to follow my dream. We sold our house in Denver and drove to the East Coast the same day. My corporate event photography brand, Soapbox, is now based in Manhattan, New York, and got a massive upgrade in premium class Canon equipment to start off with a good game.
If you are reading this, you’ve probably searched for a conference photographer in New York, an NYC convention photographer, or a party photographer in Manhattan, and you’ve seen my work on this website (all images on this website are mine). But you don’t know me yet and haven’t worked with me yet. To give you a better incentive to hire Soapbox corporate event photography, I offer a 20% discount to events in my new neighborhood, the Upper West Side, until March 1, 2022. If you are planning a corporate event or a private party anywhere between West 59th Street and West 114 Street, feel free to e-mail me at soapbox.event.photography@gmail.com or contact me through the website form, and mention the UWS discount to get a great deal on professional event photography.
